Rocket Mortgage rebrands Truebill to Rocket Money (Score 20)

It will also utilize podcast ads and influencers to build awareness for Rocket Money.
According to Pathmatics, Rocket Money earned 1.4b impressions YTD through Instagram ads (88%), Facebook ads (10%) and desktop video ads (2%). It placed the majority (99%) of these ads directly onto sites such as instagram.com, facebook.com, youtube.com, msn.com and pch.com. It placed the remainder (1%) indirectly through Criteo onto sites such as foxnews.com, wonderhowto.com, politifact.com, mmo-champion.com and apnews.com. It spent approximately $11.6m on digital display ads YTD, a 6% increase from $10.9m spent in this channel during the same time period of 2021. Full-year spend jumped from $10.1m in 2020 to $19.3m in 2021.
Per iSpot, Rocket Money spent around $20.6m on national TV ads YTD, a huge jump from $3m spent in this channel during the same time period of 2021. Full-year spend skyrocketed from $2.2m in 2020 to $11.3m in 2021. This year, it placed ads during programming such as Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, South Park, Chicago Fire, The First 48 and NCIS: New Orleans.
Sellers-- Rocket Money targets a broad audience, but it appears to be focused on reaching Gen-Zers and millennials. It allocates the majority of its marketing resources toward digital display and national TV ads. Rocket Money has been increasing spend across both channels for the past two years. Rocket Mortgage also invests in OOH, radio and local broadcast TV ads, per Kantar. Sellers should start offering ad space soon because the company will likely ramp spend up to promote Rocket Money.
