Male Media Opps: LL Cool J's Rock the Bells adds to marketing team, raises funding round (Score 55)

Rock the Bells, the D2C content, commerce and experiences company owned by LL Cool J, hired social media and digital marketing activation lead Lainney Dizon and social media and digital marketing director Mary Almonte in May 2021. Dizon joined from Rostrum Records where as director of digital and social marketing director, her responsibilities included marketing strategy and media campaigns. Almonte most recently served as the director of corporate partnerships at Staten Island and has taught digital media marketing at NY University.

This company's online shop sells hip-hop culture merch. In April 2021, Rock the Bells landed a Series A funding round that raised $8m, according to Crunchbase.

I expect Pathmatics will start showing some digital/social media spend data for Rock the Bells within the coming months considering its new DMs' responsibilities and the increased budget its recent funding round allows. Its target demographic has a strong male skew.

Agency & martech readers - This new funding also gives Rock the Bells more financial freedom to seek agency assistance. Keep the company on your radar for future work, especially if your PR assistance can build brand awareness.
